About us

Crescent Moon Senior Secondary School was established in 1994 in a small rented building with 30 students. The location and surrounding of the school was completely rural consisting of farmers and people doing small business. The aim to open the school was to bridge the gap between Govt. aided Hindi medium schools and privately managed convent Public English medium school.

There was great difference between these schools. First, in Govt. aided Hindi medium schools parents with poor financial background were sending their children where infrastructure and teaching facilities were not according to the standard. Second, financially rich people were admitting their children to privately managed convent English medium public schools. These two types of education on the basis of medium of instruction -Hindi and English medium was creating indiscrimination among students. Many of the students from Hindi medium schools used to feel themselves inferior to English medium school.

Therefore the internal inspiring force to start the school was to bridge this gap and provide “Equal education to all”. The focus to provide quality education was not only developed students to get jobs and become financially secure but emphasis was also given to develop inherent potential of students.

In our school we also provide moral and spiritual education so that students can strike balance between materialism and spiritualism in their life in this competitive world. We also give emphasize on extracurricular activities like cultural, sports, yoga, meditation, debate, declamation and other creative works. Presently we have 500 students from Nursery to +2 in all streams (Arts, Medical, Non-Medical and Commerce). There are students who are getting scholarships and have joined reputed medical and engineering colleges. We have also Authorized study centre of NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) in which 300 hundred students are enrolled every year. This study centre has proved very helpful to achieve our mission “Equal education to all”. The team of 25 teachers + five non teaching staff is working very hard to achieve this mission.

From the rental building now we have our own building consisting of 23 rooms with one big hall and well equipped science, computer labs and library for students. We are also providing transport and hostel facilities for students coming from distant places.From 1994 to 2011, I have seen so many students who belonged to rural background and financially very weak, are holding very good position in Govt. and non-govt. section after completing their education in this school.

This year Happy Science organization founded by Master Rhyo Ocawa of Japan got associated with our school for providing spiritual education to our students. For all these services and achievements I express my heartily thanks to parents/Guardians for their cooperation and encouragement from time to time. I wish bright and successful future for my students.
